20 and 60GB Sony PS3 dropped in Japan
It seems as if both Sony and Microsoft cannot make up their mind as to what is the best configuration of games console to go with, both have made many changes. It seems as if Sony is to drop both their 20GB and 60GB versions in Japan in favor of the 40GB and 80GB. Also backwards compatibility support will no longer be available either, so no playing PS2 games on your PlayStation 3 anymore.

Sony has been working hard to find the perfect configuration and they feel that with the 40GB and 80GB is they have it right. Sony feel that the slow sales of the PS3 has something to do with not giving customers want they want, and they hope that taking away some unneeded features and reducing the price is the way forward.

the 60GB is so bad, So i’m glad SONY discontinued it, it always freezes and won’t always load the picture. Bought it in June/14/07 and now 1/1/09 i’m now sending it back for the FOURTH TIME for repair, AMERICAN EXPRESS credit card members be advised you can get an EXTENDED WARRANTEE for ANOTHER FULL year one the PS3s. they were nice enough to refund my purchase $399 and am planning on getting a new one the next time it brakes, this truly SONYs worst product out on the market none of thier other products!
