Solar Ark from Sanyo

Sanyo now have a 1,000 ft wide and 120 ft tall solar panel which is called the Solar Ark, you would imagine something this size to be a bit of an eyesore, but its actually not and it has other uses as well. A lot of the time inventions like this can not be very practical as they take up a lot of space and in an urban environment they will just not fit. It does however have a nice curved design to the front and turns up at either end.
The most important thing is what it can do, not just does it look nice. There are more than 5,00 solar panels and the Ark can produce up to 500,000 kilowatts of energy in ideal weather conditions. There is also a Solar Energy Museum which is open to the public and they also have an Ark View Café nearby.
