Details flow at CES 2008 for Actiontec’s zControl home automation gateways

At CES 2008 information is coming out on Actiontec zControl products, the company is planning many new Z-Wave-based products that are designed to centrally manage household electronics such as automatic sprinklers, motorized shades, garage door openers, motion detectors, thermostats, security cameras and lights through the home network.

The zControl Starter Kit will be available in February for $399 and includes a remote control, one lighting control module, one indoor camera with motion detector and the zControl unit.
