BD Live launching
BD Live will be launching summer 2008 and the video below was taken at CES 2008 at the Sony stand, in the BD Live demo they picked downloadable ringtones from Godzilla to demonstrate BD Live…wow.

Basically BD Live is Blue-ray Internet capabilities, the new discs will have a new BD Live button and you can go online and get downloadable content like trailers, ringtones and other media.

They are not sure how many movie titles will be at launch, the Sony PS3 will get BD Live easy as it will just update by firmware and Sony are launching set top boxes that will have full BD line capabilities.

There will be gaming functions built into BD Line, interactive games can be played across the world, if both of you have the movie you can play a game online that’s on the disc (games will be geared towards the film).

Watch the video below for more details on BD Live.
