2008 Delhi Motor Show: Tata Nano is the name of their 1-Lakh car

Well the 2008 Delhi Motor Show is under way and many visitors were at the Tato stand to see what they are going to name their 1-Lakh car, and the name is Nano. For those of you who did not make it to the Indian Motor Show, the Tato Nano on show was a 624cc two-cylinder version with a minuscule 33HP. The engine will run on gasoline and will have the choice of either the 5-speed manual or a stepless CVT; however a diesel version will follow very shortly.
Although the Tato Nano is small, it meets with all the safety standards that we come to expect from Euro crash tests. To give you an idea just how fuel efficient the Tato Nano is, you will only use 5 liters of fuel for every 100KM.

If you look at past, when Indica was launched. At that time, indica was just appreciated very much for its design and look though Indica faced many trouble after launch. Later on TATA launch V2.
TATAs again made a History by making World’s cheapest car which is not only very good and elegant in design but also One of the most fuel efficient car and also meet meet EURO-4 norms.
I think, people will face Least troubles with NANO because TATAs has learned a lot from Indica.
This also shows that India is growing not only in One segment but also in All the segments and getting lot of appreciation around the world.

Ok so who paid off the Euro Crash Test guys, cause hell no are you telling me that it is a safe car…
is there somewhere that explains the specs of safety this has, side intrusion bards? air bags? I don’t think I would get all the safe stuff for such a small price..

Nano is definetly a revolution for todays indian automobile industries.its a benchmarch which have setted by TATA MOTORS for the rest of the world.TATA always known for his best quality and cost effectiveness.i hope nano will be highly appereciated in middle class indian family due to his low cost and safe design .
Tata Motors ultra cheap car Nano has successfully passed the required mandatory tests of Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). This means that the Nano is now ready to hit the indian roads as it has met all the specified criteria for roadworthiness laid out by the government including emissions and NVH. Also Economic Times reports that the Tata’s Nano posted record mileage of 24kmpl during the homologation test at ARAI. Remember Nano will be the first car to come with certified mileage quote.Visit
The Tata Nano doesn’t come any more convenient considering the pressing need to save on everything from the cost of cars to fuel.
