As you are all well aware Sunday’s Golden Globes have been demoted. No longer are they the glamorous pap-filled affair, but have now been reduced to someone reading the winners names in a room at the back of a hotel. Not satisfied with this, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has moved one of it’s awards back a year so the winner can pick it up in front of hundreds of people.
Steven Spielberg was in line to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award (the lifetime achievement award) on Sunday but with the ‘cancellation’ of the award ceremony it has been pushed back to next year, which will be the 66th Awards.
Lets just hope that the Writers’ Strike and the upcoming Directors and Actors Strikes are over by then!
