New 9mm Thick Pioneer Kuro plasma compared to a mobile phone

Nice new 50 inch plasma TV’s are great but when they are only 9mm thick then this is amazing, and that’s just what Pioneer were showing of at CES 2008 with their Kuro plasma.

In the photo above you can see the thickness of the Pioneer Kuro plasma compared to a mobile phone.

Before you say it, yes we do know there are thinner television models at the consumer electronics show, but this TV is still impressive to say the least. The display quality is stunning and black levels look as they should be thanks to Pioneer’s extreme contrast technology.
