The MINI Cooper D Clubman, D standing for diesel has been an option from BMW in Europe but as yet has not made it to the US. Well according to Auto Blog they believe that the diesel version could make a showing at Detroit 2008 ready for a U.S. launch.

As we know BMW already have a couple of diesel vehicles coming out very soon in the states, so it stands to reason that there will also be a Diesel version of the Mini. As of yet BMW have not confirmed this, but as more and more Americans look to conserve fuel it would be a great move by BMW.
