Microsoft Xbox 360 to support Blu-ray: only if consumer wants it
By: Peter Chubb | January 9, 2008
We have heard it all now, Microsoft has always been a strong supporter of the format HD DVD, well it now seems as if the company are backtracking. We hear that if consumers want it then the Xbox 360 could go with the Blu-ray format instead.
Microsoft well still defend their chosen format HD DVD all the way till the end, but it is good business sense to give the consumers what they want. Could this be the final nail in the coffin for HD DVD, and it would show that their rival Sony had it right all along as their PS3 had the Blu-ray player built-in from the start.
