I was once an Xbox 360 fan: Sony PS3 has converted me

My life has turned towards the Sony PS3 and this is the games console I buy most of my games for now, I only buy Microsoft Xbox 360 games that are exclusive. My cousin and a few friends kept on and on to buy the 360 and in the end I caved in and bought one.
When I connected it all up to my plasma TV I was so amazed and could not put the controller down, 6 months down the line money was good and oh yeah got persuaded to buy the Sony Playstation 3, at first I did say “No Chance will I buy a PS3”. The reason for me not wanting to buy one was because I was so happy with the 360, call me a fan boy, call me what you want I just did not want a PS3.
Anyway yes time went on people playing with my head to buy the PS3, and now must say the best thing I have ever done. Not only are the games great, but it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Blu-Ray, and I do a lot on the internet from the comfort of my sofa.
I must say though the Xbox Live layout is far more superior at the moment in the way of online gaming than the PS3 but I can see this changing, and what with Playstation Home coming soon this year we can see the PS3 being the best console ever invented.
The whole style of the PS3 is pretty damn sexy, please do not get me wrong I do love the Xbox 360 and will continue to play it, but only exclusive games.
What I cannot understand is all you fanboys that argue which one is better and which one is not, why all the arguments. At the end of the day you like what you like and that’s it, me personally the Sony PS3 has converted me and is much better than the Xbox 360, this does not mean the 360 is bad because it is not, it just means my gaming will be solely on the Playstation now.
If my little story has offended any Xbox 360 fans please let me offer you counselling.

I am in the same boat. I picked up a 360 on November 22, 2005 and knew it was the machine for me. I stayed pretty faithfull to it until 2007 hit and I noticed a huge lack of any exclusive games (See I also game on PC). So as 2007 rolled on and I saw Blu-ray outsell HD-DVD every month of the year I said. “What the heck” and picked up the 40GB PS3.
I can honestly say I am liking it a lot more than the 360. Including online. See I’m not a very social person so the 100% integrated voice chat doesnt really appeal to me especially considering the abundance of screaming Halo-kids running around Live. And having to pay for Peer 2 Peer gaming is a let down as well. I like being able to select from a list of exclusive servers with decent ping and then add them to my favorites list instead of joining Joe Smiths game, having him get frustrated then leave forcing me back to the lobby to search for another P2P game.
Both services are decent depending on what you’re looking for I just find the PS3’s more elegant and utilitarian and thats what I like.
If Microsoft doesn’t release a blu-ray add-on soon I am going to be buying a ps3. I’ve given them a year to get it sorted out. Digital downloads are not going to replace the hard media for me! I want my disk format!
That was an abrasive read. Please learn correct grammar before your next post. If anything, this is just telling me that the uneducated and sloven-folk like the PS3.
I can’t agree more, Tagawa, nearly every single person I know who owns an Xbox 360 has had the RRoD at least once. My neighbor has gone through 6 Xbox 360’s! Six!
& LOL at Microsoft switching over to Blu Ray. That’s a laugh, they really took it up the a-hole this time xD

i didnt undertands whats u mean???
Ps3 fanboy opinions are just as bad as xbox’s, but the truth is they are just in total denial because they were over charged. I own both and any of you that do too, know the truth that the cross platform games look and play better on the xbox. Their online is weak and is no comparison to the features and ease of use of Live. To say that Sony’s Home is going to make it better? Please, it’s only going to be a bloated advertised filled attempt to make up for there lacking foresight into consumer wants and design. Truthfully, the only use I have for my PS3 is to play bluray movies and the few exclusives; which there are not very many them. Definitely not worth the price for just a gaming system. I’m glad that I decided to buy my PS3 used on ebay for a discounted price so that Sony, with all their arrogance, would not profit from my purchase.
See guys Nelson is the clear example of ignorance and childish fan-boys. They guy probably picked up a 360 only because when he went to the store, it was “cheaper yet the same or better” than the ps3. That it does HD, that it plays online and that it has most of the best games out there. Now lets analize. Does the 360 do HD? Not really. The fact of the matter is that Real HD is 1080i and that my friends is only found on Blue-Ray and the PS3, not even HD-DVD as of today. That you could play online? Yes, sure. Now did you know you had to pay in the 360 for that? Maybe I mean hell not.
I mean seriously the ps3 had WI-FI built in with a replaceable hard drive compatible with any other Labtop hardrive. This gives you the opportunity to upgrade to sizes as big as 500gb and you all know guys the bigger, the better; now try that on the 360. Free online gaming and browsing. I bet you that 90% of 360 owners dont know that the ps3 has a full featured internet browser. I bet you that they do not know that they pay and we get it for free. Perhaps you know since they pay they get a better service with Xbox live, but we’ll see about that. Lets see how Home comes about to crush the bones in every 360 owner. It is obvious that the ps3 is better just look at the trend. the 360 keeps adding hardware with every inclusion of a new model. why would they do that if they are better or equal in terms of Horse power? It is so foolish to believe they are equal. Watch when they start using the blue-ray more efficiently. When they start using above 50gbs to make worlds so huge is even hard to imagine. Ah did you know that 360 supports only DVD’s to play which means that they only can afford
8gbs. Well if you see where IM getting good and if not well you are a moron. Just give it time and see how the transfer begins. Just remember that SONY and Microsoft in this case are responsible for only HardWare Ubisoft and KONAMI are responsible for the sofware.
I know where you are coming from Mark. I had an xbox 360 but then I returned it and later got a PS3.
360 is nice but I don’t care how much of a gamer you are, if something breaks 8 times (or even twice) and you continue to get it repaired or even worst, buy another of that product that only so it breaks down again you are not a hardcore gamer that is all about the games but an imbecile (translation: idiot).
Even worst…. these people have the nerve to go around saying idiotic non-sense like Xbox 360 rules!!! (looking at you Nelson!). Give me a break! If its all about games don’t freaking talk about the 360 and Microsoft but the games since obviously the console manufacturing quality of the console is CRAP. That quality was the main turnoff for me.
The PS3 is nice and I realized that it would not be really until its 2nd year that more interesting games would be out. However, luckily I was blessed with the likes of Uncharted, Ratchet and others earlier than expected. I rather be patient and give it a little time to play great games on a great console than be impatient and play great games on a console that break on me on any moment for no apparent reason. But thats just me.
End rant.
sorrry my bad, Uncharted isn’t an XBox exclusive but MGS4 will be!!! well maybe not exclusive, but on the XBox definataly.
still tho, sony sucks and microsoft is the best.
online for ps3 sucks real bad, xbox live is the best, definitely worth $50 each year! (only a couple dollars a month - anyone can afford it)
The guy that wrote this article has actually got a brain,it doesnt matter if you like one more than the other , hey I would have both if I had the money.
The pattern i notice with xbox 360 fans is that they tend to be Americans, which usually mean people easily influenced by marketing!!
