It has been reported by Variety that Paramount Pictures have got hold of the rights to the John O’Farrell novel ‘The Best a Man Can Get’ and are expected to develop it as a comic directing vehicle for Karey Kirkpatrick.
It is said that Kirkpatrick will be writing the script with O’Farrell himself once the strike has finished. The film follows the story of a musician who has major commitment problems which cause him to live a double life. He lives with three friends in a bachelor’s flat but is also a married man with two small children who tells his wife he often sleeps in his studio.
