Elvis’s birthday: how will you celebrate?

Since Saturday the 5th January Elvis Presley Birthday celebrations have been taking place all over the world.
As reported on elvis.com there will be a number of events taking place right up to tomorrow.
The main event will see Elvis Presley fans from all over the world in Memphis today to celebrate the King’s birthday. Elvis Presley was born January 8th 1935 and today he would be turning 73 years old. Elvis died at Graceland on August 16th 1977.
The official Elvis Presley Birthday ceremony started at 8:45am Today on the front steps of Graceland. It has been reported that his former wife, Priscilla Presley will participate in this ceremony for the first time.

Today a newspaper photographer arrived to take photos for an Elvis story to appear in our local newspaper tomorrow.
Ronan Collins of RTE1 Radio Ireland played my request for an Elvis song “Trying To Get To You”. To celibrate we had lunch at the Grand Hotel Malahide Ireland.
Now we are playing some of Elvis’s classic recordings from 1956 to 1962 when he actually dominated the popular music charts for six years!
