England Football managers haven’t had a great press recently but it seems the new boy, Fabio Capello has got a fan in the form of David Beckham. The former England skipper has said that Capello, whom he played under at Real Madrid, will bring an ‘aura’ and ‘fear factor’ with him and he believes the England players will ‘enjoy playing for him.’
Beckham went on to say that Capello’s style is similar to Sir Alex Ferguson, who is arguably one of the best coaches in football.
Becham’s praise for Capello comes as quite a shock, the two were famous for their disagreements at the Bernabeu but Beckham still holds the manager in high regard. He said,
“They are going to enjoy playing under him. I enjoyed playing under him, even in the bad times.”
“Apart from Sir Alex Ferguson, I have never seen anyone so dedicated to watching football and learning about it,”.
What do you think of Fabio Capello? Do you think he has what it takes to become the manager England so desperately need?
