Another big blow to HD DVD is the news that Warner Bros has abandoned the high definition format in favor of Sony’s Blu-ray.
Yesterday Time Warner Inc’s Warner Bros studio published a press release explaining that they are now going to release high-definition DVDs exclusively in Blu-ray format.
With two major formats some consumers are confused with what format to buy (well maybe not Sony PS3 owners), but this will come to a head in time and that will be helped with the more companies that back one format.
Chief Executive Barry Meyer (Warner Bros Chairman) said “The window of opportunity for high-definition DVD could be missed if format confusion continues to linger”.
So now that Warner Bros will exclusively distribute in Blu-ray, how do you think this will affect HD DVD?

Depends what movies come out on HD and what come out on Blu-Ray but now with less support for HD-DVD it seems like they are rightly screwed. But it’s not over.
