Fernley Nevada Storm: Levee Breaks after heavy rain

Fernley Nevada Storm
Following some really heavy rain on Friday night in Fernley, Nevada. A canal levee has broken and poured more than 3 feet of water into around 800 homes and this now over 3,500 people stranded.

It was shortly before 5am on Saturday in Fernley when a 30-foot-long section of the Truckee Canal broke, although the good news is that no injuries have been reported.

The Guardian said that Residents reported to news reporters that it was “a mess up there last night” and “nearby Fallon Naval Air Station provided three helicopters in case anyone needed rescue from a roof”.
