Robert Murat Cleared by Tourist in Madeleine McCann case
A few days ago we reported that two sisters placed Robert Murat at the scene where Madeleine McCann disappeared, however an Irish Tourist who saw a mystery man holding a child in a blanket has cleared Robert Murat by stating that it was not him.
Martin Smith who comes from Drogheda was on holiday where the McCann’s were on holiday said that he bumped into the man who had the child wrapped in a blanket. He thought that it was a little strange when he asked the man if the child who had nothing on her feet at the time was asleep, in which the man did not make any response. Instead he just put his head down and tried not to make any contact with Mr Smith.
According to Sky News Martin Smith and his family did not think much more about it, then two weeks later while at home when the Madeleine McCann disappearance case was now in full swing he and his family believed that this could be a vital clue in the case.

Okay, if this is true, then why during the past 8 months was the kidnapping theory disputed? Does not make sense that this is just being reported now. Just wish peoople would stick to facts and truth. I have a strange suspicion (without knowing the entire, inside story) that people are just saying things to get their names in the paper because why would someone say one thing and another person’s story takes a 180 degree turn and totally disputes another witnesses account? Again, does not make sense that parents were named suspects and the kidnapping theory was disputed, if this man’s story is credible. What a bunch of dung this case has made of the portugese police department.
Murat was never named (yet) as the person CARRYING Madeleine away.
Because a man, other than Murat, was seen carrying a limp child away from the Ocean Club DOES NOT CLEAR MURAT. Murat may have been the look out person or organizer of the abduction or the one who lifted her out of her bed… or maybe killed her to keep her quiet…

the man photographed watching the children play in a playground right in the begining .was wearing light trousers and sunglasses.he was suspicious looking .have police traced him…it might be him ….
I dont think anyone thinks it was Mr Murat carrying the sleeping child away from the resort… but, 6 people including Martin Smith have placed him outside the apartment on the night. So the interest in him is regarding why he feels the need to lie about where he was on the night.
Agree with other poster who said Murat was not cleared at all because it was never said he was the one carrying the child. He could have absolutely been the one who helped as a look out or called the person who did end up taking her. Murat could be involved in many different ways, so he’s not cleared. Not by a long shot! Watch your headlines as it is irresponsible journalism, but then do you even know what that is? If the PJ believe this story then they would have to believe she was indeed abducted. This makes no sense; silly story……stupid.

Just because Robert Murat did not physically take Madeleine does not mean that he was not involved. If he was not involved, then there would be no reason for him to change his alibi and lie about his whereabouts then would there.
With regard to the sightings of Robert that night, there is an uncanny likeness to David Payne, and when you consider that it was dark at the time, it could well have been mistaken identity by most of the people who named him. His photograph was all over the press and TV at the time.

Murat may well have been the facilitator hence the reasons why no forensics found any connection!
Not rocket science by then anyone can report in this!!
So how does the claim that someone saw someone, NOT Murat, carrying a child, clear him of involvement or even of the actual kidnapping?
In fact it doesn’t even clear the parents. Are the headline makers daft or is it just that they think the public is daft?
Murat has a long way to go before he’s cleared if the PJ do anything right. He might still have the girl, hiding her, helped others take her, who knows? He didn’t have to be the one carrying her…duh. His alibi is challenged by many people now who saw him that night, so he’s busted of something. Why is he wanting to hide where he was? I mean, he was at home or he wasn’t…no inbetween here. If he was peeking into their apartment that is pretty creepy right there. He has a lot of explaining to do with so many witnesses saying they indeed see him that night. It’s not over until Murat sings……
