If Barack Obama Was Muslim: does it matter?

barack obama is in fact proven to be a muslim. he was shown to be one of the smartest muslim kids at the al- aqsa childrens school for the islamic centre of chigago. His family was shown to have discratable amounts of currency, dictating a job his father had in Iran ad a child where he lived. Barack is still a good person but he should not hide who he is as a canditate for the american presidency.

Question, some may think it doesn’t matter whether Barack is Muslim or not, well when swearing in as President( if by chance it happens) how would he do so ? Now I know Americans believe the the pledge of Alliegance is still mandatory. Obama refuses to accept or acknowledge it and he claims to be of what faith ? That’s the thing his hasn’t clearly stated or confessed with his mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. Is his background of Muslim descend and was his mother an Atheist ? If so why hasn’t he made it know or cleared up any rumors?

Mike, you are very ignorant of the actual qualifications to be a muslim ! To be a muslim one must (1) Publically profess loud & clear their belief in just one God ( ie: a christian or a hindu doesn’t quite fit ) (2) Publically profess loud & clear that Muhammad is the final prophet. And after this the new muslim must begin & maintain seriously the 5 pillars of islam. NOBODY is accepted as a bona-fide muslim, unless they fulfill these requirements, regardless of their birth status, or their association.
A great deal of the bigotry & paranoia against muslims comes from the huge ignorance of what muslims actually believe in & should practice.

I don’t care what anyone says about Islam as a religion, it is an idealogy that is not only archaic but barbaric in the extreme. Muslims are trying to KILL us as mandated in the Koran. How can anyone be so naive as to think he is presidential material? If by some quirk of fate this man is elected, will he put his hand on the Christian bible to take the oath of office or will it be the Koran? But we are killing them by milions in all over the world without any second thought, and nobody can object because we can. Just have a second thought and change the name USA with Iraq or Afghanistan or Libanon or Palastine and what you would feel if you were a citizin from those countries.

As to your statement, “But we are killing them by milions [there are two L's in millions]all over the world…” they are also killing people all over the world for not other reason than a difference of opinion about the “true God.” There is a major difference between fanatism and self-defense. I personally don’t think the US has any business in the Middle East especially when there is a war here at home which is escalating daily as witnessed by the statement of “umar” who apparently has an English usage problem with proper punctuation. “Hatred” JS? “Evil people?” This from those whom we welcome to our country and then who would try to push their barbaric beliefs off on us. Understand this: it is we who are being forced into a defensive posture. In Islam you do not have to accept Islam when born to a Muslim father but you are automatically a Muslim.
The fact is that all the Muslims in the world will consider Obama as a Muslim whatever anyone says.
And what’s more, if he seriously renounces Islam he is in for the treatment that is reserved for someone who renounces Islam that is to say he will be punishable by death!!!

I’m amazed by people who can point a spelling mistake on comment in a web log but can’t see our government invaded Iraq for no reason but force an ideology be it the democracy or Christianity on people who don’t want it, and control their natural resources. Islam is a religion, based on the notion of peace, then how is it that so many acts done by its adherents are contrary to peace? The answer is simple. Such actions, if not sanctioned by the religion, have no place with it. They are not Islamic and should not be thought of as Islamic.
The very name Islam comes from the Arabic root word ‘salama’ which means peace. Islam is a religion which is based upon achieving peace through the submission to the will of God. Thus, by this very simple linguistic definition, one can ascertain as to what the nature of this religion is.
One of the many short comings which has arisen in the West, is judging Islam by the conduct of a minority of its people.
The only way to examine Islam is to simply examine its belief system. Look at its sources, the Qur’an and Sunna, and see what they have to say. This is the way to find the truth about what Islam says about terror, terrorism and terrorists.One who is sincerely searching for the truth, will do it no other way.

I have many friends that are Muslim/Islamic and they tell me that all people in the world are Muslim/Islamic or they are atheist. I don’t know much about the Muslims, but according to them, if you are born from a Muslim father, you are Muslim, period and if you denounce the Muslims, you will be destroyed. They tell me that they have only one agenda, to destroy all atheist and if you aren’t Muslim, then you are atheist. They tolerate me, but that seems to be all they do. I am not stating this as fact, just what Muslims have told me.
