Exclusive Sony PS3 Games Looking Better
In my opinion and also many other gamers would agree, the exclusive games coming to the Sony PS3 are looking better than any other Xbox 360 game in terms of graphics, framerate and sound.

Playstation 3 developers are saying that they have barely scratched the surface with the PS3 and when you take a look at what they done with some of the exclusives it shows which games console is the better.

The fact that the PS3 also has the HD drive shows much more content will fit on one disc and will only improve the games vs the 360.

If the rumor comes true that was mentioned earlier today about Bill Gates possibly announcing a new Xbox 360 at CES with a HD-DVD, 320Gb hard drive and Wi-Fi.

Then this just shows again that the 360 has been lacking in many ways against the PS3, it’s clear that I feel the PS3 is better for the above reasons (I have owned both systems) but if you disagree state why you think so in the comments.

Also if you disagree then have you owned both systems, if you have not then I find it hard to see how you can judge.

When will fanboys learn no one cares what they think, if your happy with your system then your the winner. Seriously just because you narrow minded fanboys say that the ps3 is better than the 360 or vice versa, do you actually think the owner is going to chuck it out the widnow, no so shut up.

Ok guys, I have been in the video game industry for over 20 years, it is quite simple. I am not a fan boy of any system, so take that out of your head. Microsoft can release an Xbox360 but it will not be for games b/c millions of other 360 owners do not have and HD-DVD drive. It will not make sense for ANY publisher to make games for the HD-DVD360, because of the limited user base and unhappy non HD-DVD 360 owners.

SIMPLE RULE —> Whenever buying electronics… purchase something for the future, not the present, if not, you will end up with a bunch of add-ons, which, historically speaking has never worked out in the video game market.

BOTTOM LINE—> SONY thinks of the future, not the present and it is beginning to pay off…. as it almost ALWAYS does.

what games are you talking about? I agree with you that the PS3 has underperformed until now.

    UT3 isn’t an exclusive.

Couldn’t agree more, the man said EXCLUSIVES not multiplatform games for all you people talking about assasin’s creed, orange box and all that jibberish. I own both systems and uncharted pretty much blew me away graphically, more so than when i played gears of war for the first time. My xbox360 is fun but i have more than enough fps games coming out of it, and as an all in one media my ps3 is king which gets all the love. I don’t understand why people all bitch about which console is better but all are fun in their own way, you pretty much are a 15 yr old with nothing else to do besides bash other people’s choices if you have to defend a system that much. I own all 3 and my wii colelcts dust except for the occasional mario galaxy, but the ps3 gets the most bang for my $$ in terms of what it can do.

up until about a week ago i thot the ps3 was a challenge for the xbox 360, and that sony’s eperience and history of the market had produced a fantastic console, even though i didnt like to admit it. However my m8 bought the 40 gig ps3 and not only was the hardware quality poor(wobbly ps3 logo and the cheap feel in general, lack of memory card reader and reduced no. of usb ports), but the software is no where near as powerful as the 360 dashboard system, its enlarged version of the psp, and the internet was rediculous to connect as u wer bombarded by unnesescary questions. It was so poor that i convinced him to return it and purchase a top spec Xbox 360 elite for less cost and at the highest spec, it is a fantastic media extender and gaming system.I really dont think sony did anything but develop blu-ray over te last few years, and if the ces announcement next week is an ultimate xbox 360 then it will thankfully be the final nail in the coffin for the overpriced, over hyped system that is the ps3, Sony ur outa the game, u had ur chance, now that Microsoft do the job right.

I don’t think there can be any doubt at all that the PS3 is a more capable platform, at least not from anyone that has seen Uncharted or Ratchet & Clank which look better than anything released on the 360. There are games which run better on the 360 but that has nothing to do with the PS3 not being as powerful, its because the coding was done lazily. The best looking 360 game (gears of war) was released over a year ago so it looks like the 360 is pretty much on its limit while developers are only still learning how to use the PS3 yet are already graphically beating its rival.

I have all 3 systems, and lately I haven’t touched the Wii. My 360 is a great system, but I had to send it in for repairs, yes I got the RROD in November. Because of that I ended up buying Call of Duty 4 on my PS3 and enjoyed it so much, I ended buying a lot more games for my PS3. My fear is that my Xbox will still fail, therefore I am beginning to invest in the PS3 about 80% more. Unreal Tournament, Uncharted, COD4, and Assisins Creed were all purchased for my PS3, and I am very happy with all the games, (in my opinion) the PS3 is really gaining momentum, and this is not good for Nintendo or Xbox. I would like all 3 systems to stick around though, it is good for the consumer.

I am so pissed that MS for pulling crap like this, you know how many people own more than 1 Xbox 360 console? Do they except people to go out and buy an upgrade version? I just bought the elite and now I feel like I got a 2nd had Xbox 360. It really shows how much Microsoft cares about their customers. Why couldn’t they have this SKU? Sony appears to have the right idea from the start.

“However my m8 bought the 40 gig ps3 and not only was the hardware quality poor(wobbly ps3 logo and the cheap feel in general, ”
I have no idea what you are talking about. My ps3 logo is fine. The casing is sleek IMO.

“lack of memory card reader and reduced no. of usb ports),”
Well you bought the 40 gig. The 360 has no memory card readers period and only 3 USB ports. The 80gig has memory ports and 4 USB slots.

“but the software is no where near as powerful as the 360 dashboard system, its enlarged version of the psp, and the internet was rediculous to connect as u wer bombarded by unnesescary questions.”
When Home comes out, the PSN will be competitive with XBOX Live without having to pay $50 a year ($150 after 3 years to play games like CoD4 that are otherwise free on the PC and PS3). Unnecessary questions? The only “questions” that came up when I first got my PS3 were the questions asked when registering for the PSN and the OPTIONAL survey. No idea what you are talking about.

“It was so poor that i convinced him to return it and purchase a top spec Xbox 360 elite for less cost and at the highest spec, it is a fantastic media extender and gaming system.”
Less cost? XBOX 360 elite is $50 more expensive than the 40gig. Add another $100 if you want their wireless adapter. Hard drives are cheap for the PS3 and are easy to upgrade.

“I really dont think sony did anything but develop blu-ray over te last few years, and if the ces announcement next week is an ultimate xbox 360 then it will thankfully be the final nail in the coffin for the overpriced, over hyped system that is the ps3, Sony ur outa the game, u had ur chance, now that Microsoft do the job right.”

Its actually a “screw you” to the people who bought the XBOX 360 elite along with spending MORE money for the HD-DVD player thinking it was the best XBOX system. This is Microsoft’s way of imitating Sony with the “integrating a HD disc format” game. The difference is, MS will not be taking advantage of the HD-DVD technology for their games, because that would screw 90% of the 360 users. And people complain about Sony confusing people with their many SKU’s.

Once MS has their RROD problem completely fixed (the rate they are going, it may take a bit. It still seems happen on the elite), I may get a 360 for some of the game titles. Until then, I am sticking with the PS3.
