It has been reported that ATVs have been Recalled By KYMCO Due to Suspension Failure in which Riders Can Lose Control of Vehicle.
The model that has been recalled is the 2006-2008 model MXU 500 All Terrain Vehicles. The vehicle is identified by a label on the front as KYMCO and the model is determined by a label located on each side of the fuel tank as MXU 500.
It is said that if you have this model ATV then you should stop using it immediately and contact an authorized KYMCO dealer in your area to schedule a free repair. Registered owners were sent direct mail notification of this recall.
The reason for this recall is because the pivot bolts holding the rear suspension onto the frame can become loose, causing the rear swing arm to detach from the chassis posing a risk of injury or death to the operator.
