Sears TKS Pants Recalled Due To Entrapment Hazard

Sears have announced the recall of their TKS Children’s Pants after finding their drawstring waist poses an entrapment hazard. Sears, along with the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission has advised consumers to stop using the products immediately.
Around 6,100 units of the TKS-brand children’s pants have been recalled due to the entrapment hazard caused by the ribbon belt. Luckily, there have been no reports of accidents of injuries.

The pants in question were sold in two different style. These styles were denim with a brown ribbon belt on the waistband and embroidered butterfly on the leg. Their model numbers are 62240 and 62254. The other style recalled has the model number 62226 and is khaki with a fabric belt on the waistband, two pockets and plaid trim.

The pants were sold in sizes 12 months, 18 months, 24 months and toddler sizes 2T, 3T and 4T.
Customers have been advised to immediately remove the belt and eliminate the hazard.
