Sears Recall Personal Identity Children’s Sweatshirts

Sears have recalled 5,200 units of Personal Identity Children’s Sweaters with Drawstrings after it was found that the drawstrings pose a strangulation hazard. The Personal Identity-brand V-neck sweaters with hood were imported by A&R Knitwear of New York.

Luckily there have been no injuries reported but consumers are advised to immediately remove the drawstring to remove the hazard. The sweaters came in either pink with charcoal stripes or blue with white stripes. They were sold at Sears during September 2007 for around $34.
