Scope Apparel Recall: Boys Hooded Sweatshirts Recalled

This has affected around 72,000 hooded sweatshirts although there have been no known incidents or injuries; the hazard has been described as “garments have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children”.
The Boys’ hooded sweatshirts were manufactured in Bangladesh, India, China, Pakistan and sold at mass merchandise & specialty children’s clothing retailers nationwide from August 2007, they are “small and medium sized hooded zip-up sweatshirts have various designs on the front, and were sold in charcoal, navy blue and brown colors. “Whatever” and “RN#39209” are printed on the tag sewn into the jacket”.
