The Lexus IS-F/R V8 super-sedan was already a capable car and they have lived up to the promise of going head-t head with the like of the Audi RS4, BMW M3 and the Mercedes C63 AMG. But it seems as if the Toyota owned company have yet another ace up its sleeve and are working hard at beating the competition.

What the Japanese automakers plans to do is increasing the power output from the V8 engine another 12 horsepower to give it 429-hp, although that does not sound like much to give the IS-F/R increased performance just consider that Lexus plan to reduce the weight of this super-sedan by 220-Ib. According to Auto Blog At the moment the standard Lexus IS-F/R costs about 7.7 million Yen, however the lightweight version is rumored to cost 11 million Yen.
