Well it looks like rumors of the Sony PS3 version of Unreal Tournament III (UT3) having bad frame rates and not running smooth seems to be a load of rubbish, as the video below clearly shows the Playstation 3 version running and looking really good.

UT3 brings out the big guns for what looks to be the closest thing to the Xbox 360′s Halo 3 on the PS3 so far, the only FPS game I currently play a lot is COD4 but UT3 will be the next game getting tons of hours of gameplay.

Unreal Tournament III

PC versions with top spec hardware will get 60fps, but for me gaming is for my large screen HD TV and in the living room…me and my PS3 is looking forward to Unreal Tournament III.

    holy shit now that a game with fast game play unlike halo’s slow boring speed that takes a whole clip of ammo just to kill somebody

    yup, one fantastic game, the pinacle of FPS, most console people have no idea, I can’t wait until you 360 owners get this one, it’s fantastic, now it’s off to frag the necris with a keyboard and mouse on my ps3, peace out ya’ll

    Man, I like the idea of Keyboard and Mouse support. But how I wish I could use my Wii controller on my PS3 console. This game would be so much better than using the Six Axis. I still give it to Nintendo, they are the ones with the right idea about gaming. If only this game could be ported to the Wii, then we will have a real winner.

    Shade, you are a complete douche bag. U know why it cant go on the wii? Because wii is for kids who like to bowl and play tennis. If you want to blow up people and see body parts fly, buy a PS3. Besides the wii cant handle this kind of game.

    LOL, right, it is a complete kid system with games like Manhunt 2, Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime Corruption, and so forth. You are talking to a real old school player pal, I probably been playing video games before you were a baby egg. And for you info, I own the PS3, the Wii, and had a 360, plus I got an XPS so I know exactly what I am talking about when it comes to controls. Wii has superior controls to every other system. I would rather use a Wii on Unreal rather than a mouse and keyboard, not to mention a PS3 controller. Nevertheless, you may have never played a Wii so you may not understand that.

    Bought this game on December 20th and UT3 is hands down the best of the 12 PS3 games I own. The campaign mode (or story mode if you can call it that) is quite obviously an intro-to-online, which I think is brilliant. The online mode seems to be perfect in every way. The frame rate is perfects, the tempo/pace is great, there are always people playing online even at 4am (unlike Madden 07, Madden 08, NHL 08, Def Jam’s Icon, and Tom Clancey’s R6 Vegas), and the duration for each match is nothing short of perfection.

    I give UT3 five out of five stars.
