It has been reported that a lock of John Lennon’s hair has been sold for £24,000 at an auction of Beatles memorabilia.
According to the BBC Betty Glasow was personally given the lock by John when the Beatles filmed ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ and ‘Help’ in the 60s.
It’s said that the lock was attached to Lennon’s 1965 book ‘A Spaniard In The Works’ and accompanied by the message: “To Betty, lots of love and hair, from John Lennon xx.”
Francesca Collin, of Gorringes auction house said that “Collections of this kind are rare and the hair in particular is a real one-off for Beatles collectors.”
Well looks like some Beatles fan has got something special but would you have paid £24,000 for it even if you are a truly dedicated Beatles fan?
