Hands on with the Turbo Charge Portable Cell Phone and iPod Charger
You all know what it’s like, you have gone away and as always your cell phone goes everywhere with you, but what would you do if your phone runs out of power and you had nowhere to plug your charger in, the answer is the Turbo Charge Portable Cell Phone Charger. This is also the case with your Apple iPod as well which is where the Turbo Charge Portable charger for iPod comes in. Both little gadgets will allow you to charge your cell phone and iPod without the need to plug it into a mains socket.

So I thought I would take a closer look at what sounds like a much needed gadget which could be perfect while on holiday. My first impression was that the main product itself was very light and gave it a slight cheapness to it, but once I installed the two AA Batteries that came supplied it seemed to transform both chargers into to a more solid product and gave it more of a quality feel.

What makes these chargers different to many other chargers is the way that it reduces the risk of damage to your cell phone and iPod battery by regulating the flow of energy that is supplied to the cell phone battery. The Turbo Charge Portable Cell Phone and iPod Charger is a very versatile charger and you are able to see that by the amount of different adaptors that come supplied which allows you to connect it to most of the major cell phones on the market. The iPod charger only comes with one adaptor, which allows you to connect it to a standard iPod, iPod, Nano and also an iPod Mini.

The charger unit has an on-off switch, this allows for you to conserve the two batteries that you place in the unit. The switch has three positions, in the middle is the off position, to turn the charger on you just slide the switch down, once you do this you will notice that three blue lights appear, this is the power gauge for the charger unit. Three blue lights means that the unit has full battery life, two lights means there is half like while one light means that the battery power in the charger unit is running low.

Connecting the charger is very easy just choose the adaptor that fits your phone, be careful when you plug it into your phone and iPod as you do not want to cause any damage to either product. Once your cell or iPod has fully charged then you can then remove it, please remember to turn the power switch off to save the battery in the charger unit. The two batteries that come supplied with both chargers are able to fully charge your cell phone and iPod at least three times.

Both the Turbo Charge Portable Cell Phone and iPod Charger come with a flash light, to use just push the switch to the top position. When it came to replacing the batteries in both charger units I found that it was a little stiff removing the back cover, but just make sure that you press down will you try to slide down at the same time.

The thing I do not understand is why would you need two different chargers, they both look exactly the same the one difference is with the adaptors that come supplied. I could be wrong on that part as they could relegate the amount of power that is sent to either the cell phone or iPod battery. I thought I would look into this a bit further and decide to visit their website, but I could not find any information to tell me what the difference is between each product.

This was a great review. It was very helpful in answering my husband’s questions about charging his iPod during a connection in Los Angeles on the way to Australia. The only question that this review did not answer was how was he supposed to know when the iPod was fully charged. And when you find out if the iPod charger will also charge his cell phone, please let us know. Thanks again for a fine review.
