First Years 3-In-1 Flush and Sounds Potty Seats Recalled

RC2 have recalled their Potty Training Seats after it was found that a decorative plaque contains paint which violates the Lead Paint Standard. 160,000 of the First Years 3-in-1 Flush and Sounds Potty Seats have been recalled in total.
The Potty training seats come with either a yellow chair and green removable seat with purple lift out-pot or a blue chair with a white removable seat and green lift out-pot. Both chairs have the words “100 Acre Wood” moulded on the back of the chair and have a plaque inserted into the back of the seat which contains popular characters from Winnie The Pooh.

The seats were sold at mass and speciality retailers nationwide from April 2006 to August 2007 for around $20-$25. They are just another example of products manufacuted in China to be recalled due to led paint violation.
Customers are advised to keep the seat away from children and contact RC2 for a permanent clear protective cover which will cover the plaque. It will then be safe to use.
