Call of Duty 4 (COD4): what’s your rank and tips

Call of Duty 4 is an amazing game and one which my gaming experience only started last week, starting last weekend with just a rank of 5 and ending the weekend at rank 42.
The massive increase in rank came from lots of hours of gameplay and because it was double XP weekend, knowing this I played hard all weekend.
One of my best tips to new gamers of COD4 is to learn the challenges via the barracks as you can earn many bonus points (XP) for completing different challenges with different guns.
There is nothing like 100 XP here and 1000 XP there to move you up ranks fast, the game is amazing and I am currently hooked on playing Call of Duty 4 on my PS3.
