As we all know now the Madeleine McCann case is coming to nothing, but many wealthy people are offering rearwards, but none quite as strange as Stephen Winyard, this 58-year-old father-of-three has donated a £1million reward for four-year-old Madeleine’s return and has recently pledged another £100,000 to help meet the escalating legal costs of Gerry and Kate McCann.

This immediately sparks of questions in my mind, why would such a great donation want to remain anonymous in such a high profiled case and why would this anonymous donor want to keep pledging more cash?

Don’t get me wrong, as we all know this is all going to a superb cause but why does anyone need to remain anonymous?

Maybe, just maybe, he didn’t want to be dragged into the web of speculation by suspicious minds? Oh, and not everyone does a good deed does so to get a return on their investment! the mind boggles, seriously.

D, thats all good but i believe there is more in to this guy, lets just see what the police in the UK find out when the interview the parents!!!

Well we’ll wait and see Daz, I’m just in bad form today. It seems to me that anyone who tries to ‘help’ in this case is ripped to pieces. RM was over ‘helpful’, this was seen as suspicious and led to him being made an arguido. Anyone named as a witness or source has been ripped to shreds in the media(for trying to help) and now this guy comes out of the woodwork and everyone is automatically suspicious of him for ‘helping. It’s a sad world we live in when helping someone gets you nothing but grief. All IMO of course ;)

I have been told by several people that Border Television interviewed the Borders benefactor last night. Border News covers North and South of the English /Scottish border. They said that the interview was clear forthright and not at all mysterious.I believe Border have a Website if anyone wants to check it out.

Neither you, your colleagues, or the people of Portugal have empathy for this family’s plight. It is evident your job doesn’t permit thinking which is something you have demonstrated you are incapable of.

it don’t matter, they should be done for leaving there child unattended, that is bad parenting.

its there fault there little girl has gone!!!!!

Loving the unbiased journalistic view there Daz, why is this classed as ‘news’ in google??

Whether you believe it’s their(that’s how you spell their when referring to ‘their daughter’) fault or not, it’s certainly not hers! So get over yourself and maybe start publishing posters of her instead of speculative, biased crap.

“d” you seem to think your right about a lot dont you!!!

i think its all over now, kate and gerry are under investigation and there might just be some justice done.

forget the posters and media coverage there gone!! she has gone but if she had her parents with her that night she would be happy looking forward to Christmas!!!

I never said I was right, how could I be ‘right’ I haven’t expressed an opinion on her parents either way. Just that Madeleine is more important than digging dirt on every witness or benefactor that comes forward, are you saying that’s wrong?

It’s far from over, I don’t think it will be over until Madeleine is found either alive or dead. On one hand you seem to think her parents are involved in some other way than just leaving her alone(from your first post about them being interviewed by UK police), the same parents who should have been with her that night.

I don’t think any of us can know what happened to Madeleine until she’s found. I understand your anger at her parents for leaving her alone, but surely 8mths later we could get past that anger or put it to some good?

    Happy Christmas!
