23 Month Sentence for Vick

Michael Vick aged 27 who plays for the Atlanta Falcons has been jailed for 23 months for being involved in a dog fighting ring. He has already pleaded guilty in August of his involvement in the ring between 2001 and 2007 which is called ‘Bad Newz Kennels’.
He admitted knowing that dogs in the ring who did not perform were killed and that he had been involved with the deaths of 8 animals. Prosecutors have said that some of the dogs would fight to the death whilst other would be hanged electrocuted, shot etc.
Vick said “I would like to apologize to the court, to my family, to my kids, for what I have done.” To the Court room.
