Louis Palmer who is Swiss teacher is attempting to become the first person to drive a solar-powered car around the world. Palmer started way back in July and has since covered 8,950 stopping off in Indonesia and Bali, but has also stopped at the United Nations to take part in a climate change conference. He is only a third of the way through his journey so he still has at least a year left to get his solar-powered car around the world.

According to Sky News environment conscious Louis had to have a bit of help on his journey by going on a boat powered by oil, also his support vehicles run on gas / petrol. But this is just the start just to prove a vehicle can travel the world just by the power of the sun.
