Nicolas Cage is an actor known for his dislike of sequels. However, it seems that his thoughts on sequels are changing with National Treasure: Book of Secrets, which is due in theatres on December 21st.
It doesn’t stop there, Cage recently told ComingSoon.net that he’s looking to do another Ghost Rider movie. He said,
“All they have to do is call, and I would love to see that happen. That would be fun,”
Hmm, fun for him - what about the moviegoers? The first movie wasn’t exactly great now was it?
Ghost Rider isn’t the only Cage movie being eyeballed for a sequel. It seems Nicolas Cage is hoping for a third National Treasure movie.
“With ‘National Treasure,’ I believe that it should become more and more ‘International Treasure. I’d like to go into Africa, Egypt, Asia, and keep going. My hope is that Ben is recruited and he gets a dossier from these other countries about their history, and has to download it and learn it, and then try to go on these hunts on their behalf. That would be a lot of fun for me.”
I can understand another sequel from the National Treasure because it is quite a fun film, but Ghost Rider? I’m not too sure that I would be interested in seeing flaming skull on a motorbike again!
