Following Daz’s post about Gillian Gibbons being freed from prison and to return to Britain within 36hrs.
Gillian Gibbons has said she will be “sad to leave Sudan” after being granted a full presidential pardon.
The 54-year-old mother-of-two said in a written statement she was sorry if she had caused distress and added that she had “great respect” for Islam.
“I am looking forward to seeing my family and friends, but I am very sorry that I will be unable to return to Sudan,”

This follows the radical stupidity of main line islamists. Most are good upstanding people but there are those that are just plain idiots. This woman didn’t do anything wrong. I note that her students aren’t being punished. They are the ones in the first place that wanted to name that teddy bear. But are they after them? No, they are after a Woman that dared. Any punishment she suffered is Wrong and blame should be placed back on those Men that Think they are protecting a religious ideal. They are not, they are just showing the world how absolutely narrow minded they are.

Oh, Please! This is the reason we have so few teachers and so few willing to enter the teaching profession. People in the world need to lighten up a bit. We take everything so seriously. Political correctness is insanity. It just moves us closer to losing our freedoms of speech. In fact, it’s just a stone’s throw from communistic ideals.
This teacher did not do any harm..anyone with half a brain can see that. If you don’t want your child in school, home school them and leave the rest of us alone.
