Gillian Gibbons has said she will be “sad to leave Sudan” after being granted a full presidential pardon.
The 54-year-old mother-of-two said in a written statement she was sorry if she had caused distress and added that she had “great respect” for Islam.
“I am looking forward to seeing my family and friends, but I am very sorry that I will be unable to return to Sudan,”
