Call of Duty 4 (COD4) Save Rank Problem: not saving to your profile

I really got into playing Call of Duty 4 on my PS3 over the weekend and moved up rank really nice after playing for hours…then I had a BIG shock.
When I went back into online muiltiplayer the next day I was surprised to see that all the hard work on moving up rank was gone, I was back at a level 5.
After hours of trying different things I then realized that COD4 had a save rank problem, all the improvements were not saving to your profile.
This is apparently affecting everybody with a COD4, the servers are not saving our points and many gamers are reporting moving up the ranks but just like me, when you log out of playing online and back in again it has not saved the higher rank.
Some gamers are even leaving on their Sony PS3’s for the whole weekend in a hope to keep their new rank.
How do you feel about this problem, I am gutted and feel like it’s not worth playing online to its fixed?

i had this problemn i lost at leat 11 ranks over the weekend, but the problem “seemed” to be sorted on sunday night, it f*****g better be!!!
You should have bought the PC version then!!!!! No problems there….
Fuck that brah, i would still rather loose my rand than use that horrible xbox 360 controller!!! Fuck!!!!
