The other day we reported that the investigation of the missing Madeleine McCann would be ending soon, which was a report from Sky News. However we have just found today that the investigation is still ongoing as the Portuguese forensic experts are to visit the UK today.
According to Martin Brunt, a Crime correspondent two Portuguese officers will visit Great Britain where they will meet representatives from the national forensic service in Birmingham who has been involved in testing samples in the Madeleine case. The Portuguese officers will also meet with officers from Leicestershire which is where Kate and Gerry the parents of Madeleine McCann live.
Sky News also reports that these officers could also re-interview friends of Kate and Gerry who were with them on the night that Madeleine went missing.

From Mrs E. Tong.
Hong Kong
I read of your commentary on the current situation
with regards to the McCann’s missing child.
This brings me to ask, why, there is no comment upon the fact- and one of the few we know at this point - that these and other
parents in the group, left children under five, alone
in an apartment to fend for themselves, whether to
meet with a fatal accident or the potential to be
abducted whilst alone?
Especially with Mr Mc Cann later suggesting his family
were being watched, or that a predator may have
actually been in the room when he went to check.
For I find these to be incredulous, and that
one would hope advise that if parents,
or caregivers were to have any hint or intuition that this
may be the case, there is the need to take extra
precautions?
Here it seems to all the world, that the parents
cannot somehow be held responsible for lack of care
and protection of their children on six consecutive
nights For here in Hong Kong two
parents are in police custody for leaving their five
children alone regularly, the social welfare services
are taking up the case and the children are in
temporary care.
Think of the children- where is their voice to say
no-one was here to look after or protect us. Even if
they wake up scared, and alone at night- this in
itself is enough to cause psychological harm, and in
this tragic case even the disappearance of an innocent
child, whatever may have happend to her that dreadful
night.
All young children who are, and will continue to be home alone
or go missing or abducted, unless such actions are
addressed by people who can make a difference- who we
can trust and look to be their voice.
Thank you, Mrs. Tong, for saying what many of us think about these parents. I think it terrifies children to wake up alone in the dark, with no parents to comfort them, let alone to leave children unprotected when you know strange people are in the area. The McCanns have been surprisingly successful at taking the public’s attention away from their own neglect.
Mrs Tong and Sabrina,
You could have not said it better. Most people in this world fully agree. It doesn’t matter HOW safe you think a place is - NEVER EVER LEAVE A CHILD/CHILDREN ALONE THIS YOUNG!! Also, why on earth did they leave the door UNLOCKED??!!
What truly matters RIGHT NOW is FINDING MADELEINE - PLEASE PRAY FOR HER SAFE RETURN VERY,VERY SOON. God bless Madeleine and all missing children, and may they get to safety VERY SOON.
