It has been reported that a Christmas card that was designed by John Lennon in 1965 is to be re-printed and put on sale again for this Christmas.

John’s card is called ‘The Fat Budgie’, and is being re-released as a limited edition piece to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Oxfam’s seasonal cards.

John’s widow Yoko Ono gave her permission for the design to be re-printed and has ordered 200 copies for herself so that she can send them to her own family and friends.

Ono said that “John supported Oxfam so it is wonderful that his illustration can continue to help Oxfam in its important work. He would have been happy that Oxfam wanted to re-print his design to mark such an important occasion and I hope people will enjoy buying, sending and receiving his cards this Christmas.”

Will you be buying these cards?
