Connie Talbot, The Seven-Year Old Singing Sensation From Britain’s Got Talent

Connie Talbot is the seven-year old singing sensation from Britain’s Got Talent and yesterday saw the release of her debut album (27th November 2007)
Could she be number one for Christmas?
Connie Talbot was born on November 20, 2000. She lives in Streetly, in the West Midlands of Britain.
The song she is most known for, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, was the song she performed at her grandmother’s funeral at three years old.
Simon Cowell and Sony BMG signed Connie up after the show but unfortunately, shortly after recording her first single, the label dropped her because she was too young.
Simon said that “My views on Connie have NOT changed. I think she’s a wonderful talent. But I was persuaded by everyone at Sony BMG that she is just much too young to be embarking on a recording career. When the time is right I will be delighted to see if we can make it work. My views on Connie are still exactly the same. She’s an amazing little girl with a beautiful voice.”
But Connie is still going because record label Rhythm Rainbow created offshoot Rainbow Recording Company specifically to sign Connie.
You can buy her album here

What do you think of Connie do you think that she is too young or do you think that she will make it?

i have to say she sounds amazing on “i will always love you”. not just for a 7 year old, but for any age. I think she sounds better than she did on the TV show. I really hope she does well! she wouldnt be the first child under the age of 10 to have a career, maybe in the UK, but in the US its not too unusual.
The song “I will always love you” made me cry, this little girl, is just fantastic. She has a beautiful voice. Well done Connie.
If Connie was a violin or piano prodigy nobody would be suggesting she shouldn’t perform in public or that she should work for free. What’s the difference?
You ask if “she will make it.” She already has. Its all there - the personality - the voice - she should go for it.
I bought Connie’s CD and I play it in My car all the time .She is WONDERFUL .I get a Thrill everytime I hear her do the high notes .
She sings Much older than her real age .
I think She has a Brillant future in Music .
