President Ron Paul: Philip Zwick says unqualified

Is Ron Paul unqualified to be president? In yesterdays reader forum section of the star-ledger Mr Zwick spoke his mind about Ron Paul: “based on his record and multitude of positions, it is silly that he (Ron Paul) is running for president.”
Well at last someone who is not scared to stand-up for what is right and not follow the crowd, I have read many Posts on Ron Paul and how he stands for what is right, is this all a lot of nonsense just to get in power?
In my opinion I thing Dr Paul is the same as any other candidate running for precedent in the US, they will say anything to get where they want to be no matter if it means a little lie here and there, then so be it, but a few months down the line will he show his true colours and become the same as Bush?

Yo Daz, who gives a Zwick what Phil has to say anyway? Based on Dr. Paul’s brilliant public service record of defending this great nation from the liberal/neo-con crazies, the Zwickster says we should vote for any one of the crowd who’ve backed Bush’s insane policies rather than the one candidate who has consistently fought against them. This at a time when 70% of Americans dissaprove of W and even more dissaprove of the Congress. All I can say is: Daz some B.S. there boy! Ron Paul is better than your candidate!
You clearly don’t know what you are talking about. there has never been a man seeking less power than Ron Paul. Had he wanted more power, he would have always played the political game in DC all along — which he clearly does not do. Look at his voting record.
Do talk about stuff you don’t know anything about. You show only your ignorance.
When talking politics it’s easy to rule off someone as blowing smoke since they all do it. However, the nice thing about Ron Paul is his flawless track history. He’s never been inconsistant. When using the Constitution as the frame, it’s very easy to choose your position. This humble Dr Paul, accepts no soft money of any kind, ever. He doesnt even take part in his congressman’s pension.

Google Ron Paul nowadays, and you’re likely to find a plethora of smear articles. It’s scary for us all, but the good doctor’s message is unsmearable, and those in the media who are showing their truly ugly colors will be held accountable and pointed out for what they are. This is soooo reminiscent of 1778 (not that I was there), it smells of Revolution!!! Stand up for this country, and as Gandhi has said: “Be the change you wish to see.”
Zwick is wrong its really just that simple. Qualification for American president means you’ve read and understand the American constitution. Really there’s only one ACTUAL Republican candidate (as opposed to the hardcore liberals pretending to be Republicans)who has done that and that would be Ron Paul. Ron is going to win… the all out mainstream media offensive against him making desparate attempts to smear him is a strong indicator that he is in good position to win.

In my opinion, this author has no real ability to Judge Character.
Ron Paul is the only candidate with any moral fiber that does not want to rape the American people and the world.
The man speaks and acts on principle with the Constitution as his guide.
Save The Republic, Vote Ron Paul.
Lets see….
Hillary Clinton:
- Wife of ex-president (who apparently wasnt doing too good a job of that)
- Has been Senator of a state she never lived in (but used taxpayer money to buy a home in) since 2000.
- Is a lawyer
Rudy Giuliani:
- Mayor of NYC when 911 happened…though he did not prevent 911 and according to NYPD and FDNY, made blunders that caused more deaths during the tragedy because he put the new emergency response equipment in the WTC- which had already been attacked before.
- Is a lawyer
- ….apparently thats it.
Barack Obama:
- Has been a successful and popular Senator for the past three years.
- ….apparently thats it.
Mitt Romney:
- Founded Staples
- Was the Governor of massachusetts…governing from a litany of policy positions he now “no longer agrees with”- from abortion to tax policy to illegal immigration.
Ron Paul:
- Was elected to Congress TEN times.
- Led the delegation (one of only 4 people) to have Ronald Reagan nominated in 1976…was actually a good friend of Reagan’s in reality as opposed to the repeated open fantasizing of his opponents.
- Served as a flight surgeon for 5 years in the Air Force
- Earned his MD and delivered over 4,000 babies in between congressional terms
- Has a reputation in Washington of adhering to his beliefs and voting accordingly.
- Has been called “the most honest an in Congress” by “frontrunner” John McCain.
- Is receiving more donations from active and retired military than any other candidate in the race.
Who’s the “unqualified one” again?
Ron Paul is steam rolling his way to the Republican nomination. He dominates in straw polls, debate polls, fund raising, web traffic and grass roots networking. I have created a website to support this statement.

I would STRONGLY encourage you to take a closer look at Ron Paul. He has been the most consistent politician in the history of Washington D.C. even when it has set him at odds with the voters.
Remember, this man is from a rural area of Texas. He has consistently voted *against* agricultural subsidies. One would think that would be enough to get him kicked out of office after a single term - but the voters of his district have returned him to office time after time. The reason? He is a man of honesty and integrity, something that still earns respect in most parts of the country.
