Nissan Recall: 714,000 Altima’s & Sentra’s over faulty crankshaft sensor
We have now learned that Nissan has expanded their recall of two of their Sedan models, over 714,000 Altima’s & Sentra’s are now being recalled over a faulty crankshaft sensor. The problem does not sound that bad to me or you, but this fault could actually cause the engine to shut down.

According to Edmunds this recall covers Nissan’s that have been sold in Canada, Mexico and the United States, the models of Altima’s & Sentra’s that are affected are the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines and were manufactured in 2002 and 2005-’06. The faulty crankshaft sensor can overheat and this is what could cause the engine to cut out
