First images of the 6.2L LS3 V8 engine that will power the 2009 ZR1 Corvette

For those of you who was only going to the Detroit Auto Show in January just to get a glimpse of the LS9 V8 engine that will power the 2009 ZR1 Corvette, great news as Jalopnik managed to get hold of official photos of this power unit.

The 6.2L LS3 V8 engine truly is a beast of an engine; these images are of the supercharged version which has an integrated twin cooler. We do not have any specification of the engine, but if looks are to go by the 6.2L LS3 V8 will be awesome, well it has to so that it can power the 2009 ZR1 Corvette.
