Beowulf Xbox 360 vs Sony PS3
This video shows a comparison of Beowulf on the Xbox 360 and Sony PS3, although the epic monster slayer looks good across both platforms, there are big differences.

Beowulf is looking decent graphically on both systems, but one is much brighter than the other and the one you prefer might depend on how bright you like your games.

I like the Sony PS3 version better, although they may need to change the contrast a little.

Which games console does Beowulf look better on to you?

They look the same, but the 360 does have better color. You must have purchased a PS3…

Well my issue is the scene they show is during a rain storm pehaps it’s supposed to be darker. I want to see it when it’s a clear day, I think it’ll be easier to judge.

So which game systeme should I go with? I’m more into action and sports games (Ie Madden). I’d get a shooter type game, but that’s not my thing. I’m leaning towards the PS3 because it plays Blu Ray movies and that’s an added plus.

Well, hard to make a real comparison… but the textures look more detailed on the 360 version to me in the provided clips. However, I suspect they are the very close to the same on each and that the contrast/brightness controls have a lot to do with any disparity. Even the “HD” clip on GT was pretty lo-res. I have noticed (I have both systems) that the default video levels are often quite different between the two systems, and a little tweaking can be helpful. So, anybody, how is the game? Not my particular cup of tea, but I would try it if ratings are good… and for anyone who has played both, what’s the verdict on gameplay?

    Hum… brightness? constrast? color?
TV set have options to adjust these, since they exist.
Have you tried to adjust that?
