Samsung BlackJack II vs. Motorola Q9: what Smartphone is the best?
If you are a Smartphone user you have a choice of two great handsets to choose from, and that is the BlackJack II from Samsung and the Q9 from Motorola. Both handsets are very similar but as always there can only been one winner and Boy Genius Report puts both through their paces just to see what one will win.

Both the Motorola Q9 and the Samsung BlackJack II have a number of similarities, these include features like 2-megapixel cameras, QWERTY keyboards, 3.5G connectivity, GPS and both run on Windows Mobile 6 Professional.

That is where the similarities end, now read the report from www.boygeniusreport.com, which is where these two Smartphone’s get down and dirty.

WM Experts is diagreeing with Boy Genius’ Reports assessment on the BlackJack vs Moto Q9h (Global).

While the Moto is a nice phone too…After a some additional research, I have to agree with WM Experts so far and I’m going to get the BJII.

    1) The GPS is based on the excellent SIRF III chipset. While currently locked to just TeleNav and LiveSearch, there are hacks already out to open the GPS to other software.

    2) If you are at all going to use this phone in Europe, you’ll next the BlackJack’s extra band of UMTS/HSDPA support.
