Nevada brothel owner to raise money for Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul
The Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul now has the backing from Dennis Hof, the owner of a Nevada brothel. Hof has given Paul his stamp of approval and said that he will start to raise money for Ron’s presidential campaign.

Dennis who owns the Moonlite BunnyRanch brothel near Carson City has said that he will start the fundraising by leaving collection boxes outside the each door in his brothel, so his patrons can drop money into the box to make a donation.

According to KXMC, a spokesperson for Ron Paul has said that although Paul does not condone prostitution personally, it is not down to him to regulate these things.

Bad press! I find it very peculiar that a story such as this can be put in the news so easily and yet so much positive news is blacked out!
Do not let this story sway your opinion about Ron Paul you can see what kind of a person he really is at http://www.ronpaul2008.com I visited the site and found that I share many of the same views as Ron Paul and have since decided to suport his candidacy!

    Landon,
I wouldn’t exactly call this ‘bad press’ - at this point, any press coverage of Ron Paul is ‘good’. Also, it highlights his Constitutional approach to many issues: it is simply not a legitimate role of the federal government to legislate anyone’s version of ‘morality’. These issues are best left to more localized solutions. Prostitution is a clear example of this in USA: each state determines for itself how its laws shall read and the fact that one state, Nevada, has decided to allow prostitution in a limited form, does not harm or hinder other states from going on about their business.

Good! The government should NOT regulate who I sleep with and whether or not I pay for the services. It is not up to the federal government to legislate morality!

There is no such thing as bad press! I agree with Michael. The guy is way too decent to be maligned by something like this.

Freedom is popular. Every American should have a right to it, regardless of your convictions.

Guess who else supports Ron Paul that gets no mention…

The U.S. Military donated more money to Dr. Paul than any other candidate.

    but that’s not worth mentioning

The control freaks can’t get over that fact that just about everyone supports Ron Paul.

Sorry everybody, this is bad press. Way to go Tucker Carlson! What a hit piece carried as valid news. What next? “Homeless San Francisco man endorses Ron Paul for sound monetary policy” or “Dr. Death Kevorkian commits to raising funds for Ron Paul with ticket sales to hospice events” or “NAMBLA members rally for Ron Paul decrying government encroachment on liberties”. I can’t wait for the follow up article Tucker. “Tucker Carlson’ buddy, brothel owner, Dennis Hoff praises Ron Paul dedicating every dime from his Bunny Ranch breath mint dispenser to Paul’s campaign” or maybe “Vibrator beds collection from Dennis Hof’s Bunny Ranch thrown into the Ron Paul kitty to shake up the Republican race”. I’m afraid the media believes we are all that stupid and superficial. Are we?

This story has already been discredited. Check it out over here:

A word to the author of this article, next time do your research.

Police officers have better things to do such catch murders, rapists, and child molesters. What two consenting adults voluntarily agree do in privacy is none of the government’s business and a complete waste of our tax dollars and the limited resources of our police departments.

Tucker Carlson pulled a fast one by showing up at a news conference with the surprise guests.

How could this be anything else than a planned stunt by Carlson to get slime stories out world-wide by lazy journalists eager for something to smear Ron Paul with?

I think it was quite responsible of them how they stated Dr. Pauls possition. Quite simple. He doesn’t like prostitution but he also doesn’t feel he has the right to regulate it.
