Jet Li Set To Receive Record Salary For Latest Film

Jet Li is set to become an even more wealthy man. It has been reported that Li will receive the highest ever salary for a Chinese language film, 100 million yuan. That’s around $13 million. Ok, so not really on par with some Hollywood pay packets but it’s a slow news day so bear with me!

Jet Li will receive the substantial pay packet for his upcoming movie The Warlords. His $13 million wage is almost a third of the movie’s $40 million budget. The film follows the story of three brothers (Li, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Andy Lau) who fall out when they all fall in love with the same woman (Xu Jinglei).
