The newspaper log roller is a great way to get rid of your old newspapers, save trees and warm your home all at the same time. It tightly rolls up newspapers into logs which you can use on your fireplace. It is made from heavyweight and durable cast iron and has large legs to keep it stable and a wooden handle which you wind up the newspapers with and it weights about 8lb.

    Good idea. Too bad newspapers are printed with toxic inks that can be released in the air when burned.

    how can you be sure the inks are toxic when burnt?
