On Thanksgiving the USS Kitty Hawk left at sea

While people are enjoying thanksgiving with their families 8,000 sailors and airmen are going to be spending thanksgiving on the aircraft carrier the USS Kitty Hawk,
On Thursday the Chinese government denied the carrier access to the Hong Kong port.
The aircraft carrier and its men were expected to arrive on Wednesday ahead of the thanksgiving celebrations but the Chinese denied the USS Kitty Hawk access to Hong Kong port. Bryan Whitman, Pentagon spokesman said that China had denied the visit last minute without an explanation
