Colossal Jewelry & Accessories Inc. Recalls Children’s Metal Necklaces And Bracelets

Colossal Jewelry & Accessories Inc. along with the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of around 10,400 children’s metal necklaces and bracelets due to high levels of lead.
The necklaces and bracelets in question have silver-coloured charms on them. Some of them may have coloured beads. The packaging has ‘Awesome Boutique’ or ‘Share the Love’ printed on it. Also recalled are:
- Necklaces with a metal flower charm which hangs from a pink cord
- A metal heart charm bracelet
- A metal heart angel charm bracelet with coloured beads
- A metal bracelet with four heart charms and ruby beads
- Necklaces with painted hearts hanging from a cord
- Necklaces with tiny purses.
The above pieces of Jewelry were on sale at many discount and dollar stores across the country from January 2005 through to June 2007 priced at around $1.
Consumers are advised to take the Jewelry away from children and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
