The Spiderwick Chronicles Trailer

The new trailer for Spiderwick Chronicles has been uploaded online. The film, based on Holly Black’s book, follows the story of a boy who discovers a magical land through reading and a special trinket. The story may sound whimsical, but this film shows that it has the means to be far more than a kids flick.

The film stars Freddie Highmore, who, I have to say, is more talented than some adult actors around! What this movie has that other children’s movies seem to lack is that classic fear factor. We haven’t seen real fear-inducing characters since the likes of the Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
