A while back we told you that Tim Burton will be making a stop motion animated feature length remake of his well-known short Frankenweenie. Well, fans of Tim Burton will be pleased to know that the news is now official and Burton has claimed it will now be shot in 3D!
But, there’s still better news to come. Before Tim Burton starts work on Frankenweenie, he will also be directing a re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland, which will also be in 3D! We can only imagine how great that will be!
Burton will combine performance-capture technology (ala Beowulf) along with live-action footage. The script was penned by Linda Woolverton, who was the scribe behind Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.
I think that Burton’s Alice in Wonderland remake will be a must-see and I can’t wait for Frankenweenie!
