Home theaters are becoming more common, so there are more ways of installing one in your home. What better way to sit and watch a favourite movie then in a themed home theater? So, if Star Trek is a favourite movie of yours, you’re going to love this.
Someone has modelled their home theater on the Enterprise NCC-1701D from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Although the outcome is completely geeky, it’s also very cool.
This home theater features motion-activated air-lock doors with series sound effects, a ‘Red Alert’ button on the Creston TPMC-10 controller to turn all of the LEDs bright red and flashing.
The system also has ‘one of the largest Kaleidescope hard-drive based storage systems’ ever created, with eight servers with 3,816 DVDs. Check out the photos below and let us know what you think - geek chic or just plain tacky?
